About

Hi, I’m Federico.

I’m a software engineer with more than ten years of experience. For the last six I’ve been at Turn.io, a WhatsApp platform used by the WHO, national health ministries and clinic networks, handling millions of messages a day. I was one of its first engineers and helped the founders scale both the product and the team.

Since 2023 I have owned Turn’s AI features end to end: the agentic harness, the sandboxed tools, offline simulation evals, online evals on production traces, and the loop that feeds eval results back into the product. Before that I built much of the platform underneath, including the bulk send engine, the job and data pipelines, and the Postgres and Elasticsearch work that kept it fast as data grew.

Most of my work starts on a customer call. I run discovery with the customer, build the first version, ship it, measure it and keep iterating once it’s live. I’ve worked on site with health organisations in Kenya and South Africa, and I mentor the teams in Turn’s AI accelerators.

I now take on freelance projects where I can bring the same approach to your team: real-time messaging, data at scale, and AI agents that people can trust.
